Kentucky Stop the Bleed Corporation, recently completed training with the Okolona Fire Protection District and several local law enforcement agencies on response to an active threat incident and used the "Stop the Bleed" curriculum to provide training for the first responders. When seconds count every minute matters. Are you prepared? Is your school or business prepared? It takes 3-5 minutes for a major bleed to result in death. Emergency care can take much longer to arrive. That's why we exist, to train as many "Immediate Responders" to take life saving action to "Stop the bleeding, and Stop the dying".

Kentucky Stop The Bleed is on a mission to save lives, make every second count and ensure every school in the Commonwealth has Stop The Bleed Kits; every business have the resources and training made available to them to protect their employees and customers and every law enforcement officer have tourniquets to save lives.

Seeing a need for energetic, nonprofit work in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, we formed our organization to provide needed resources and training solutions. We've consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community!

The Mission of Kentucky Stop the Bleed, Corp. is to provide, through donations and grants, "Stop the Bleed" kits and training to every Primary School, Faith Based Organization and First Responder agencies (Law Enforcement, Fire & EMS) within the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

K9 TCCC Class

Stop the Bleed, Fundraiser Planned for 2022

If you are a canine officer or just have a family pet, we have the ability to provide life saving training to you in order to save the life of an injured K9. K9 TCCC courses are being taught across the US by one of our volunteer Veternarians. Dr. Cheryl Nelson has taught in KY, CO, DC, IN, OH, NC, NV and WI to date.

Q. Where can I get training?

A. go to Stopthebleed.org and checkout the available trainings near you.

Q. Who can learn these skills?

A. Anyone! There are no limits to who can save a life with the bleeding control measures we teach.

Stop the Bleed Kit contents:

What is included in our kit?

We have purchasing agreements with multiple vendors for the important items needed to outfit a kit for any end-user.

Basic Kit - Will include a Commercially manufactured Tourniquet, Titanium Trauma Shears, Trauma Bandage, Compressed Gauze, Emergency Blanket, Carbon Pencil.

For specific industries or public safety agencies, i.e. Law Enforcement, Fire Departments and EMS services we tailor a kit to include items that may only be used by Certified EMT's or Paramedics.

They are available in shrink wrapped and water tight kits as well as zippered bags that can be attached to medical gear bags or tactical vests.
